Sometimes, a small act of goodwill towards someone else can change everything. A free cup of coffee or a well-timed “thinking of you” text has the power to turn around an entire day. Random Acts of Kindness Week is Feb. 11 through Feb 17, ending on the official Random Acts of Kindness Day.
This week is the perfect time to teach your kids all about being kind. Here is a list of little things you can do with your kiddos this week that are guaranteed to spread happiness and improve your day as well!
Little random acts of kindness
- Clean out your linens – but don’t throw them away! Bring your kiddo and donate old towels and clothes to your local humane society.
- Compliment someone.
- Talk about what it means to be a good friend.
- If you run errands with your little one this week, let someone go ahead of you in line at the grocery store.
- Go to a community cleanup together.
- Write a note to your child telling them why you are grateful for them. And write some gratitude notes together!
- Go over the importance of saying “thank you.”
- Take them to a food drive.
- Say “I love you.”
